Aurebesh Letters 1.8

Aurebesh serves as the written alphabet for Galactic Basic, essentially mirroring the English language, and is recognized as the predominant script within the Star Wars franchise. Each character in the Aurebesh alphabet corresponds to a letter in English, as well as certain digraphs.

The design of this alphabet can be traced back to shapes created by Joe Johnston for the original trilogy, with a brief appearance in the screen displays of Return of the Jedi. Johnston's original work, known as Star Wars 76, laid the foundation for a dedicated font. This font saw further development in Attack of the Clones by designer Metschan, who skillfully integrated it with an updated version of Aurebesh that was later employed in various spin-off products.
